I was all set to dig into lunch from one of the best delis in Santa Monica, when you asked if you could share the table. Of course! what better way to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon. As we unwrapped our sandwiches, we casually started talking about LA and life here. I was visiting from Lisbon, and you had been there recently, which was great! We talked about how our recent travels and how important it is to expand horizons and get our of our bubble. You were contemplating a job move to Chicago, which I think would be an awesome place to go for a few years, (provided that you can handle a winter there.) An hour and a half later, I had given you as many cool tips for places to visit in Lisbon, Seattle and other cities, but there was so much more I wanted to say. When I got up to meet some friends elsewhere in LA, I was sad - this conversation was just getting started. I wished I had gotten your number.
